New for 2025 is the unique Concept Blue construction from Duotone. The Duotone Jaime 2025 Kiteboard is one of the kiteboards that utilizes this eco-friendly construction. But what makes Concept Blue so environmentally friendly? This innovative construction uses two new sustainable materials: flax fiber and basalt fiber. Flax fiber, a natural material, replaces traditional fiberglass. It grows quickly and can be harvested within 100 days, meaning fewer resources are required to create the final product. In addition to its eco-friendly properties, flax fiber also provides better damping and excellent torsional flex, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable ride. The flax fibers are combined with basalt fiber, another natural fiber derived from volcanic rock, used in the board's stringers. By combining these two materials, Duotone has more control over the strength and flex of the kiteboard. This results in increased torsional and longitudinal stiffness, enhancing the board's overall performance and giving it a sportier character.
