The North Astra 2024 Kiteboard can be described as a playful and powerful all-round twintip. Lighter riders will benefit the most from the new Astra. With the lighter rider in mind, North began developing the Astra. The board features a refined and responsive flex pattern, specially designed for lightweight riders. The medium flex is perfectly balanced to deliver powerful pop without unnecessarily straining your knees and legs during riding or hard landings. The North Astra has a narrower stance of 20mm compared to, for example, the Atmos Pro. This specific stance for smaller riders allows them to maintain 100% control during every move and landing. They will also experience a more direct feel thanks to the stance tailored to them. The progressive rocker provides early planing and better low-end performance, while maintaining maximum control. The edge control is improved by balancing the outline, rocker, and flex, making it easier to hold stronger winds for confident boosting!

The 2024 North Astra features a Hybrid basalt construction with a paulownia wood core. This unique construction uses basalt fibers made from naturally melted volcanic rock as lightweight reinforcement. Basalt UD tapes provide not only reinforcement but also an extra lively feel, delivering more pop without adding too much stiffness. The paulownia wood core is very strong, while keeping the board lightweight. The durable, impact-resistant ABS rails ensure maximum longevity of the kiteboard. The bottom of the North Astra 2024 has a single concave with quad channels in the tips, absorbing impact for stable landings and providing maximum grip in all conditions.

This year, the North Astra 2024 introduces the new FlipTech mounting system. This means that if one side of your board is worn, you can simply flip the bindings for a shiny, new heelside rail. The North Astra comes with strong, abrasion-resistant 40mm composite fins and a lightweight grab handle for maximum grip when wet.
