The neoprene contains partially limestone, using oyster shell powder as a substitute to recycle oyster shell waste and contribute to the wetsuit's sustainability. The back and back part of the upper legs are lined with Plasma Plush, a fabric that retains heat well and is stretchy. The high-pile structure traps air for insulation, while the fabric quickly drains water for a quick-drying wetsuit. The Hot Stuff lining is used on the front of the body, which feels softer thanks to the larger loops that hold more air for extra warmth insulation.

The ION Amaze Amp 5/4 Backzip 2023 is designed to last and is reinforced with Maco tape at all stress points and with Maki Tape on the entire lower body to make the seams extra strong and waterproof. The wetsuit has a backzip for easy entry. The water barrier at the back of the zipper and the rubber strip inside the neck, arms, and legs ensure that water stays outside the wetsuit as much as possible.
