The North Astra 2025 Kiteboard is the perfect kiteboard for freeriding and big air in all kinds of conditions. In recent years, it has been proven that lighter riders find it difficult to hold their edge with large, stiff kiteboards designed for heavier riders. For this reason, North Kiteboarding designed the North Astra. This kiteboard has a more responsive flex, combined with a smaller design and a narrower stance. This design of the North Astra 2025 for lighter riders ensures maximum control in all kinds of conditions, softer landings, and much more comfort - without sacrificing performance!

The North Astra has a Paulownia wood core that offers the best balance between strength and light weight. The kiteboard is then laminated with hybrid carbon. The carbon provides a slightly more progressive flex and weight saving. This laminate has a slightly lower carbon density compared to 100% carbon laminate, making the kiteboard more comfortable to ride even in the most annoying chop. New for 2025 are the 3DY Beam reinforcements. The new 3DY Beam is a carbon beam that runs through the kiteboard in a Y shape along the bindings to the rail. These reinforcements give the kiteboard a playful feel and explosive pop, making it easier and better to take off for a jump. The medium flex and medium rocker provide all-around performance and give the kiteboard a friendly character. Ride upwind easily and enjoy ultimate comfort.



A true big air kiteboard must have a lot of grip, and the North Astra 2025 has it. The bottom of the kiteboard features multiple channels. The double concave ensures buttery soft and predictable landings. The channels on the rail and the tips provide maximum control and grip, allowing you to convert more power into higher jumps. The rail itself is made of strong ABS material that protects your rail from annoying dents or other damages. On the top of the rail are large grip channels that you can use to practice your boardoffs, enabling you to land your first boardoff kiteloop in no time!

The North Astra 2025 has centered inserts, allowing you to switch the pads if your heelside is worn. The North Astra 2025 comes with strong, durable 40mm composite fins and a grab handle.
