Cabrinha Moto X Apex 2024 fun session with Ruben Lenten & Hannah Whiteley

During my trip to Cape Town I met up and rode with a lot of the pro riders already. When I heard Hannah also arrived in town, I immediately got in touch and scheduled a nice adventure with her.

The wind that day wasn’t ideal for Blouberg so in search of some stronger conditions we ended up driving to an amazing spot. In the car we had some time to catch up on all things life, mindset and business… catch our full chat on YouTube/Spotify soon.

In this session right here we got to ride the new Cabrinha Moto X Apex . This kite serves as an allrounder, so suitable for many disciplines. To my surprise there was quite some power to be found there when riding overpowered. First I rode it on the B setting on the trailing edge, as that’s how Hannah rides it. This setting gives some more bar pressure resulting in a bit more feedback and direct feel. It still steered very easily, which I liked a lot. Also the jumping, lift and hangtime were super easy and controllable.

To feel the difference between the both settings and to see if I could get a bit less power I tried the A-setting. That was a whole different feel and made the kite super light steering. The kite was so fast, even the 10m turned like crazy. Ideal for kiteloops and heliloops.

I recommend this kite for people who love to ride multiple disciplines. Also for beginners it’s a great and easy kite, and one that you can keep and grow on. A lot of fun on the Moto X Apex. Give it a try!
